The Governing Body of Hall Mead School has responsibility under the Academy’s Articles of Government for its general direction. The Headteacher is responsible for the internal organisation and management of the Academy.

The Governing Body has significant responsibilities. In particular, it is responsible for the Academy’s delegated budget and for the curriculum. At Hall Mead, individual governors are linked to specific curricular areas.

The Governing Body, which normally consists of eighteen members, is currently made up as follows:
